Workshop on human–animal interactions

In September, U-Share organised a workshop together with the platform SLU Future Animals, Nature and Health. The broad topic for the workshop was: How do interactions between humans and animals affect their health and welfare?

The aim was to learn about each other’s research and potentially establish collaborations between SLU and UU researchers in this area. The participants could listen to presentations about for instance People’s knowledge ant attitudes towards animals, Risk factors for cardiovascular disease in pet owners and non-owners, Welfare and risks in horse-assisted interventions and Dogs in dementia patient care, followed by an opportunity to discuss their work.

We hope to be able to arrange additional workshops on the theme human–animal interactions and if you are interested in attending you are welcome to contact U-Share coordinator Kerstin Henriksson.
