EU project selected as Success Story

The B3Africa project, coordinated by Eric Bongcam-Rudloff at SLU and with UU as partner, has been selected by EU Horizon 2020 as a Success Story.

The aim of B3Africa is to develop a platform that will bridge African and European biobanking and biological research, with the long-term goal to improve health care. The work has involved integrating available software, services and tools for open source code, and public databases to be used by African and European biobanks and research institutes.

The project started in 2015 and has in total eleven partners from Sweden, Austria, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, France and South Africa. It is coordinated from SLU and UU participates through the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics, placed at the Faculty of Medicine.
